We went to the beach!

Hello.

Today Mummy and Daddy to me to the beach for the first time!

Look at me!!!!

I did this all by myself for the first time tonight!!!!

Quick Piccy

We went to the Wildlife Park today. I liked the penguins and monkeys. We watched the penguins being fed!!

They keep sticking a floppy thing on my head. I was taking it off but they are a stubborn pair and kept putting it back on. I also wear things on my feet which I am struggling to work out how to take off!! They are okay tho, they make a funny noise when I scratch the bottom of them.

I now have my 5th tooth coming and could have another on its way. I am finding the teeth very useful for trying new foods. I am also learning how to feed myself with a spoon, it's messy but fun.

9 months on..

Here we are, almost 9 months a year and a half since i found that i was going to be a dad.

Was it as i expected? Nope, my eyes have been opened to a whole now world, it is a movie, just a darn site longer.  No point in saying for 18 years, because at 30 (yeah 4 months away) I still get mothered when I go home, i get an ear when i need it and an opinion when asked.....

Anyway, 

A movie, yes, as i was saying... it's full of laughs tears excitment and worry! a comedy action drama, with the occasional twist of horror to keep us on our toes.

The Monster is good, in fine form indeed. She's crawling, wanting to stand, and eating all sorts of different foods, (custard tart yesterday!) we just (45 mins ago) has our 9 month check, now weighing in at 16lb 7oz and all is well.

Long day

So, after 12 hours of travel, we finally make it to Basildon, It was pretty uneventful. apart from the part where i said Vick could drive the car off the ferry,

So while i was putting the monster in the car, Vic jumps in and starts the engine... it was in gear and my foot was next to the wheel, I now have the imprint of a Goodyear on my boot! I was very lucky not to get squashed.... humph!

Ellie did really well considering, we had to stop twice for Ellie to eat, but apart from that she seemed happy for the best part.

So a week away running around and visiting you all, squeezing in 2 and a half (thanks JB) photo shoots all being well with the weather.... fingers crossed and looking forward to the rest!

ELLIE JUST CRAWLED 3FT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Game Over

Well, That's the end of life as i know it.

"eh?" i hear you say...

"Ellie!" 

"oh! Why?"

"She is mobile!"

No longer is she a phantom mover..... no longer will she stay on her back, I cannot even change her nappy without a fight of wills...

There is Ellie who wants something... 

And Daddy, who desperately does not want to get peed on!

she will make it across the living room in under 2 mins, You cant do any thing in two mins,

(well you can but thats not going to be admitted on here!)

I have no idea what to do, i cant watch her every second, she needs time to play and explore, its all got to move up 2 feet, but to where, i have a mantle piece and a shelf, but you cant balance a PS3 on the Mantle, and the leads wont reach  the shelf....

(No Mummy, its not an excuse to sell it for 50p.....) 

The ground floor needs to be Ellie Proofed and fast, 

Any one know how you teach a kid the word NO! and what it means? using the naughty step is a really stupid idea, she falls down the stairs for a start, 

Cause at the moment I say Ellie, NO! and she looks at me grins and says urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It melts my heart, (cow) but i still stick to it and she keeps sticking to her smiling...

I move her and 3 mins later were having the same old conversation.

so i put her to bed...

6 teeth and counting!

Ellie just weighed in at 15lb 12oz, thats a 7oz gain and is right on the lame line, we have a trend!
